Hollywood in the nineteen eighties. Art director in the advertising world, jet setter, Eric Brun-Sanglard lives the American dream. A great success for this young boy born in Chamonix, France during the nineteen sixties: he moved to the States for love while he would finish his high school degree and left behind his difficult relationship with his father.

At the age of 33, then at the top of his career, Eric finds out that he’s in the process of loosing his sight from a viral infection due to HIV that he contracted ten years earlier and that he would most likely die from. He’s able to make through a great deal of physical and mental pain and reinvents himself in the unexpected career of a home designer.

How can one man get through a life threatening illness and blindness, to realize such success? Today internationally renown in the design industry – he sold his home to Penelope Cruz, worked on houses like Coppola’s and James Stewart estates, Eric Brun-Sanglard wants to share some of the lessons that life has taught him.

The story of a man that always felt excluded from the world, fought death and has forced many avenues that seemed closed to him.

Eric Brun-Sanglard 47 years old realized his entire career in Los Angeles. He created and produced his own TV series “Designing Blind”, broadcasted on one of the biggest national networks. Today, he makes his return back to his hometown, in order to revive his roots. And continues his life’s path as a public speaker.
